Dr. Carol Peters is a medical doctor, board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology, and is licensed in Texas, California, and Minnesota. She has worked in several practice settings during the past eighteen years, including private practice, a medical school/university, and a large county teaching hospital. She currently practices OB-Gyn as a locum tenens physician, providing short-term relief for other OB-Gyn physicians and hospitals. This allows her the flexibility to pursue other interests, including Totally Free Ministries, and the Dr. Carol Show.
Dr. Carol, sometimes known as "Doctor-Doctor," is also an ordained Christian minister. In addition to her M.D. degree, she also holds a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree from Oral Roberts University. In 2006 Dr. Carol began Totally Free Ministries, dedicated to helping people live the complete and free life Jesus came to bring. Dr. Carol enjoys speaking at various gatherings for churches, women's groups, prison groups, students, and others.
Dr. Carol married Al Tanksley in 2008. Al has worked in media for over 43 years. Together they have hosted the Dr Carol Show on radio since 2009, and now broadcast live from their studios in Austin, TX. Dr. Carol believes that good health involves every area of life - physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual. All these areas are addressed on the Dr Carol Show through news items, guest interviews, and phone calls from listeners.
